As set out in the Articles of Association, the Chilean Association of Translators and Interpreters A.G. is administered by seven members elected by the General Assembly of Members, which last two years in office. Directors perform this function on a voluntary basis, ad-honorem, without receiving any compensation and in strict compliance with the provisions of the Articles of Association and the highest ethical standards.
A graduate of the English/French translation program at Catholic University of Chile with a Master’s in Linguistics from the University of Montreal, Maria Eugenia has broad experience translating texts in the social and physical sciences and is registered as an expert translator with the Appellate Court of Santiago. She teaches history, translation theory and strategy and professional at the university level. She has served as President of COTICH on two occasions.

She holds an advanced degree from the Institute of Applied Linguistics of Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. She is a member of TREMEDICA and ATA. Her fields of expertise include the medical sciences and pharmaceuticals.
English-Portuguese translator graduated from the University of Santiago, Chile and Chinese-Spanish translator. She worked as in-house translator for the Centre for Experimental Social Sciences Oxford, USACH and currently works as a freelance translator in the academic area, collaborating with teams from different areas and institutions.
